UPCOMING GUITAR EVENTS WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF ANN ARBOR;

The 2007-2008 season is a great one for guitar events in Ann Arbor and surrounding areas. Here’s a list of the upcoming classical guitar events that we know about.

Guitar Meetings on Sundays at Madonna University in Livonia

New meetings will be starting for our sister society, Classic Guitar Society of Michigan
beginning this Sunday the 20th at 3:00pm at Kresge Hall on the Madonna University
campus in Livonia. This is a central location, close to Ann Arbor and Detroit, with free
convenient parking. Beginning in February, we will meet at Kresge Hall on the
Second Sunday of the month through May. All meetings will be at 3pm.
(January 20, February 10, March 9, April 13, May 11)

Thanks to fellow guitarist, Helene Rottenberg for making this possible!

These meetings will be a great opportunity to share pieces you enjoy
playing, to play ensemble music and just talk with other people who
have a similar love for the guitar, in an informal, friendly environment.

All are welcome.

I would like to thank everybody who attended the Marcos Diaz Concert on October 6, 2007.
You helped make it the amazing evening that it was.

Marcos Diaz, from Ourense, Spain, gave a wonderful performance for us in the spring of 2006 and fall of 2007. We are looking forward to another special evening of guitar music and being in the presence of such a fine artist and virtuoso as Marcos Diaz sometime in the future.
